Job Description:
The Sales Engineer at Apica will play a critical role in interfacing with prospective clients by providing technical expertise through engaging sales presentations, dynamic product demonstrations, and comprehensive support during technical evaluations. You must be organized and analytical and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to present and explain Apica’s value proposition, vision, and strategic offerings to clients.
- Lead the technical aspect of client engagements during the POC trial phase, addressing any concerns and guiding the process to a favorable outcome.
- Utilize deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to close complex sales opportunities.
- Conduct detailed product presentations and technical briefings for potential clients.
- Actively communicate with customers and internal teams to relay product feedback and stay informed of the competitive landscape.
- Support internal technical teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in pre-sales activities, knowledge of technology and consultative selling 1
- A strong passion for technology with a keen ability to understand its impact on business operations and growth.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to clearly articulate both the technical benefits and business value of our solutions.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, or .NET.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a role involving sales engineering or a closely related field
- Substantial experience in observability tools to thoroughly understand and explain how these tools deliver value by addressing complex customer challenges.
- Willingness to travel extensively, as required, to meet business needs.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
