Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to lead our observability product line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of observability tools and practices, and a passion for building products that empower users to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate the product vision and strategy for observability products.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.

2. Product Planning and Execution:

  • Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch support.

3. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their pain points and requirements.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are reflected in the product development process.
  • Conduct regular product demos, training sessions, and webinars to educate customers and stakeholders on new features and functionalities.

4. Metrics and Analysis:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare and present product performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

5. Market and Industry Research:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products in the observability space.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and strategy.
  • Identify potential partnerships and opportunities for collaboration to enhance product offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on observability, monitoring, or related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of observability principles, tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack), and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and a customer-centric approach to product development.
  • Passion for technology and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
