Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate UX and Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team at Apica. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our Observability platform. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to create compelling designs that resonate with our customers and drive our business forward.
Responsibilities:
- User-Centered Design: Lead the UX/UI design process, from concept to execution, with a focus on user-centered design principles and best practices for our Observability platform.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
- Visual Design: Develop visually appealing graphics, icons, and illustrations to enhance the user interface and overall product aesthetics for our Observability tools.
- Design System: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system to ensure design consistency across all products in our Observability suite.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Figma Mastery: Utilize Figma as the primary design tool to create, share, and iterate on design assets and collaborate with team members.
- User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs based on user feedback for our Observability solutions.
- Agile Methodologies: Work within an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, and adapting design work to fit agile processes.
- Branding: Ensure brand consistency in all design elements and materials, aligning with our brand guidelines for Apica Observability.
- Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continually improve design processes and outcomes in the Observability domain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably in a SaaS or tech-related industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX and graphic design work, particularly in the Observability or monitoring space.
- Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development concepts (a plus).
- Experience working with agile methodologies and product development processes.
