2 seconds is the acceptable response time

For the second year in succession Apica made a joint survey with the Swedish trade show Webbdagarna in Stockholm, March 19th-20th. 175 people participated in the survey and took part in the draw for an iPad mini.

Website response time should be less than 2 seconds. Our survey shows that visitors expect a response time less than 2 seconds when visiting a website. In the survey, 75% answered that a slow response time affects confidence in the organization or brand. Of the 71 % who responded that 1-2 seconds is an acceptable response time, 65 % would abandon the site if they had to wait too long.
